a father's back

I read one of the prize essay of the 57th writing contest for elementary and junior high school students in a newspaper this morning. The writer thought what an ideal father should be at home through the dialogue with his father who seemed to live only for his work.

You can see the key conversations which pulled father's real feelings. Though he sometimes was offended at father's sayings, I found that their conversations constructed their reliability. I also found that an one-way thought or refusal of talking would become the barrier to understand each other.

Things will become relative through conversations. If you only concentrate the father's first reply, you will misunderstand him as an old Hickory. However, his real intension manifested itself by his opinion towards child-care leave and what he felt the most painful.

I believe that we are requested to develop the above communication skills and don't need to be eloquent if we could.

Labor Thanksgiving Day

My son and daughter gave me a self-made present for Labor Thanksgiving Day. Their nursery school plans this gift every year. I got a medal and a tropfhy this year. The small box for tissue I had two years ago has been used by my family.
Moreover, he added 'Thanks a lot!' before he said good-night to me. I was very glad and I've decided to work harder.

diversity

I've thought that I don't need to wash my body every day since I read the book which wrote about cooperative bacteria with human body. You will agree with the author who emphasized the importance of living with various bacteria in daily life.

It's applicable to our social life. I think there are a lot of problems caused by persons in unchanged circumstances. They tend to be ignorant of real world and can't understand the value of diversity.

To design the various corporate application system is as if I repeat the carrer change every nth of a year. I often know the core of client's business through designing. I've been very impressed by the variety of company's style and enjoyed it, though I have to endure my ignorance when I begin to work for a new client.

I should take care of diversity and live with it.

influences from images

My son and daughter said the same words they heard from the TV commercial advertising Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. tackled the elimination of landmines. I was very surprised that they memorized such words like murmurs, and worried about the strong influence from visual effects at the same time.

Honestly speaking, I thought they went overdrive on the bad effects from TV or games, because everyone didn't show the same reaction. However, I've got nervous that children would be suffered from images which burned on thier mind because they saw them when they couldn't distinguish right from wrong.

I hear we see everything through our own psychological filter. Grown-up lets a TV commercial pass because we are able to judge its worth measuring by our own criterion. 'As the boy, so the man' may emphasize the importance of developing fair standards.

We are forbidden to have a meal watching TV at home because of my wife's strong will. To tell the truth, I had supper watching TV when I was in childhood and so I just regarded as a bad manner. I have to be careful of watching TV for the above reason.

Nappy

I bought the noodle which I've eaten at school-provided lunch. I remenber that it had been served in a bowl into which usually used to scoop rice. I feel it had tasted more boring, but I can't recollect the savor because it was over 20 years ago.

The worst food was 'Nappy' in my scooldays. It's a little monaka filled with natto. Nobody knew it until it offered. And then it became the focus our utmost attention because of its awful taste. Since then, I've never seen it.

However, I found a experience note on the web that a man tried to eat it. I also saw someone reported on the same site that she ate 'Nappy' in her scooldays. I suppose she and I commented on the same 'Nappy'.

Although I feel nostalgic, I would like to have more delicious foods.

the paid-for use of Kibo

I picked up JAXA again. They've accepted offers from the public for the paid-for use of Kibo. I read the newspaper this morning repoted that they aimed at the building the nonfree way first because of resisting criticism of much injection of our money.

They should think over how to use it profitably. It's not necessary that they rush to make a paid-for scheme. They also have to show the appropriate themes to use Kibo. Resources, foods and environmental issues seem to be acceptable, I suppose.

Now I can't access the JAXA web site. Probably a lot of people want to see the video of the earth from the moon and are tying to visit the site.

space

Although JAXA, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, has concentrated on the selection of the best catch-phrase writer from the public for the supporting 'Kibo(Japanese Experient Module with ISS) ' , they has postponed the announcement for a month. I've watched their site several times because I had applied for it, so I was very disappointed at seeing that.

Since I saw the planetarium about the Cassini Orbiter with my family, I've read books written about space. My son also has been interested in it, and enjoys to see the TV programs produced by NHK on DVD, which rent from a public library. I've been stunned by the fact that the space has depended on all fortuity. It seems to be so for everything in space is beyond our comprehension.

Those topics attracts me, for example, swing-by(a planet throws away an orbiter), high-technology mounted on Hayabusa (Japanese space probe), the expectation of an existence of a planet by reading the wavelength declination, though I can't understand the mathematical formulas.

I hope my son and daughter have kept been interested in space.

Environmental Protection and pursuit for profit

I saw a leaflet which said 'These boxes for recycle are for our customers only' at the supermarket near my house. I laughed because they confessed very honestly that their effort for recycle was for themselves, not for the earth. Several years has passed since a drug store has taken over there. It is a tiny example that recycle without benefit doesn't suit for pursuit of profit.

I watched TV news broadcasted that the sea around the Miyakejima island has been cleaned during the evacuation. I've had the same impression when I heard 'Only human kind can't live on earth even if the environmental pollution progresses'. If the best way is to vanish us, I feel meaningless of the appeal for the environmental protection.

However, the best way requires the mass concern which moves on for progress. It turns out to be the effective way if we will be able to connect the pursuit for profit, the very human activity, to the environmental protection.

First of all, they should welcome everyone and contrive ways to make money, don't they?

Away electric poles

Japanese towns would look more beautiful if we sweep away all of electric poles. I always feel it strongly when I travel abroad. It's a shame to see that electrical cable webs prevail among towns.

Getting rid of them is necessary for safety. Pavement is so narrow that we don't walk through with umbrella open between a pole and wall. I can find the case examples on Internet. I hope the following case will continue.

I would like the goverment to use the special tax of road for it.

who has his/her own discipline

When the big earthquake in Hanshin district occured 10 years ago, the Swiss rescue team was standed for many hours because of the Japanese goverment's bungle against the emergency.

Some insisted that they should do spralegal action, but they missed the point. It was the politician who was blamed for nonfeasance.

They would be censured if other problem happend by playing off the cuff. We have to notice the consensus that we must obey as a standard in a certain situation. We won't live in our society without it because we regard it as absolute discipline.

Paradoxically speaking, a person who can't notice that has his/her own standard.

They must expiate thier crime

The issue of blood products has manifested itself again.

We should detect the causes and develop preventative measures, trying on penalty of Antisubversive Activities Law if necessary, the problem may be caused by the systematic nonfeasance.

We have the responsibility on politicians because we select them, but bureaucrats are not elected. They must expiate thier crime.
